Our Story
Humble beginnings since 1976
Hung Huat Cakes and Pastries also known as the original Sim's Place bakery, started as first generation hawkers in Singapore. Prior to moving into the Sim's Place Hawker Centre in 1976, old Mr and Mrs Sim were selling Mian Jian Kueh (Pancakes) on a push cart along the streets of Geylang Lorong 17 to 19. As their children took over, the Sims continued to develop new recipes, venturing into making more pastries over the years.
Till date, the business has passed on to its third generation. Using traditional recipes developed in-house and the freshest ingredients, we hope our customers enjoy and reminisce the taste of tradition and time with us.

In the biggest season at Hung Huat, we focus on our 100% handmade CNY goodies such as our most famous - Pineapple Tarts, Kueh Bang Kit, Danish Butter Cookies and Charcoal-baked Love Letters. Hung Huat's mooncakes bring families and friends to the table for the best reasons. We pride ourselves in producing the freshest mooncakes, especially our Signature Teochew Mooncakes - the most challenging to make amongst mooncakes. Along with our traditional baked skin, snowskin and pineapple mooncakes, Hung Huat mooncakes are gifts worthy for a warm reunion.
